Volunteer Activities

Sadly all volunteer activities on Wellington City Council land has to be put on hold at present. Unfortunately, ceasing all volunteering includes: watering, weeding, gardening or any site maintenance at our community garden and nursery. This is disappointing but understandable at a time when we have to put the health and wellbeing

Working Bee – Sunday 2pm to 4pm

Our regular working bees are currently on  Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. If it is raining the working bee will be cancelled. During Summer we normally also meet at the garden on Wednesdays 6.30pm to 8pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in. It is a pretty relaxed afternoon/evening

Kiwi Community Assistance (KCA) is a registered charity  that provides and assists in the provision of household goods, clothing and food to families in need in our local area (Newlands, Johnsonville, Tawa, Porirua, Titahi Bay). Water!

On Sunday 22 April we had some of the team from SKM install mains water onsite. Thank you for your help to get our water installed. It is so great to have running water for the garden! There are three taps now for the garden, but you will need the key

Working bees Tuesday nights

We are having a regular working bee every Tuesday night from 6.30 to 8.00pm. Come along to help with planting, weeding and to meet others involved in the project. Due to daylight savings end soon our last working bee will be on Tuesday 27th March. We will have weekend working bees over
