Volunteer Activities

Sadly all volunteer activities on Wellington City Council land has to be put on hold at present. Unfortunately, ceasing all volunteering includes: watering, weeding, gardening or any site maintenance at our community garden and nursery. This is disappointing but understandable at a time when we have to put the health and wellbeing

Working Bee – Sunday 2pm to 4pm

Our regular working bees are currently on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. If it is raining the working bee will be cancelled. During Summer we normally also meet at the garden on Wednesdays 6.30pm to 8pm. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in. It is a pretty relaxed afternoon/evening

First working bee for the Jay St garden

We had our first working for the Jay St Garden on 10 December. We had 31 people turn up during the day to help with laying out carpet for weed mat, mulching, planting and building a strawberry bed. It was a great start to the gardens. [slideshow]
